Introduction

Before my story can be told I need to tell you about the history of the Motherland.

After the 1917 Revolution, Russia went under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin. After his

death the USSR went threw a succession of socialist dictators until 11 march, 1985 when

Mikhail Gorbachev became General secretary of the Union. In fall of 1986 he introduced

Perestroika, which angered many Russians who felt capitalism would destroy their way of

life. On December 19 of the same year a lone man walked into the newly finished Palace

Of The Soviets (a project 30 years in the making) With 30 pounds of C-4 attached to his

chest. The bomb exploded killing 508 soviets including Gorbachev. This sends Russia

into mass panic. At the same time Europe was going through a mass reemergence of Catholicism. In both Russia and its satellite states secret Christian circles started forming causing further havoc on an already fragile Russia. By late 1988 a group called the Soviet

Salvation League was the most prominent of these circles and by 1991 they had infiltrated

Moscow. Feeling threatened, Eastern Russians created the New Communist Commune.

These two went to war after multiple bombings in the Christian controlled St.

Petersburg. This war ended in late 1993 with Russia divided into the western Theo-Soviet

Russian Commune and the east keeping its old ways.

“Unless thou confess with thou…” Dieter couldn’t stand the thoughts of this

stupid book “…you will burn in an internal pit of fire…” Dieter noticed The pastors

English was improving since capitals “enforcement law of National language” created an

English only state. “New Millennium, new national standards and language” thought Dieter laughing a little. “… Before we end in prayer, I would like to make an announcement. Since our lands glorious creation 9 years ago we’ve had a growing

alliance with our brothers and sisters in the United States. Today we will receive 12

Christian diplomats from Baptist churches across the American States. They will be

touring our Cathedral and others in St. Petersburg…”

After the state mandated church service, Dieter walked to his parents vintage 1956

Beetle. On the way to his kvartira he thought of what the pastor said, “American

Diplomats”. “could I finally get out of this hypocritical dictatorship?” The thought left

Dieters mind once he got in his cramped home . He settled down in a comfortable, well

used armchair and Opened his College literature booklet. The memories of Last weeks

shock flowed through his entire body like the high a stoner longs for, as the note fell into

his lap. The stress of the heated debate over state wide mandatory Catholicism. The slip

of the note from the hands of a stranger into his. Dieter began to sweat as he read the note

over and over again, the Russian writing slipping out of his lips. “This Theocracy will fall

and communes will flourish. You have been chosen to learn this truth. Lenin Compound,

0700 HRS, 06/25” Dieter put the note down. “one more day. One more.” Never once was

there a thought of regret for what would happen tomorrow.

Dieter woke up at 0339 HRS and got dressed. Before he left for his three hour drive he took an old book from under his night table. The book was of grainy leather and

had a yellow and red hammer and sickle icon on it. To Dieter it was a symbol of the past

and what he would be fighting for. He opened it and took out a small photograph. The

image was of his seemingly factitious family. The mothers of his orphanage told him it

was taken the morning before the west bombed Moscow, were dieters family was taking a

holiday. 90,000 dead including his parents. Dieter put the picture in his back pocket and

through the book aside. Once in the car Dieter relaxed and turned on the radio. An

ignorant sounding man was talking to military strategists about the now two year war in

the middle east against soviet funded Iran. Two hours in and Dieter had to cross a check

point crossing. A plump women in the booth asked him the typical questions and finally

  let him through

The Lenin compound was first built by the Catholics in 1993 to house those left

homeless in the Moscow bombings. Later it was commissioned to serve as a

weapons factory. In the final days of the war the buildings were filled with unused

weapons and burned, leaving only concrete shells. As Dieter sat on the hood of his car

looking around at the buildings surrounding him he noticed movement to his left and to

his right. Dieter jumped to his feet and turned on his heels. In front of him were seven

individuals all in brilliant black, hooded robes. They were of different heights, builds, and

as the robes made apparent different genders. The man closest to Dieter, a tall, well built

man craned his neck to look at the shortest of the robes . As if given orders. The robed

woman made her way towards Dieter.

When the women was within a foot of the aw stricken Dieter she removed her

hood. Silky smooth hair appeared out of the hood and a single red highlight told Dieter

the Identity of this young women instantly. “You’re the one who left the note. You’re the

Liberal studies Major” Dieter couldn’t believe she was a communist. “yes you will call

me Sem.” the woman said with a easy smile “you understand?” Before Dieter could

Respond the man who seemed to be in charge came forward in large strides “We need to

get this going Sem” Dieter took in the urgencies in the mans voice as Sem nodded “ he’s

Chetyre. He’s the brains of the group” Sem nodded to Chetyre who Grunted a deep

sound. With this the other five hoods were removed. Sem Introduced the others who all

looked uneasy. First were twins, Odin and Slishkom. Both were well built. Dieter

recognized them as the runners he walked pass when he would walk home from college

everyday. They greeted him with hand signs from the old ways. Next came Pyat, a women

in her early thirties. What Dieter could tell she was American. This made Dieter

greatly uncomfortable. Sem continued to introduce the other two individuals but Dieter

was transfixed on the American, and as the six started walking to a destination unknown

  to Dieter he felt uneasy.

The group made there way into building number 163 and as the rusting sign over

the door indicated it was once home to the Lenin Weapons Modification Institute. Dieter,

feeling fragile caught up to Sem to asked questions. “were are we going” “vo vremeni!”

she hissed at him in their native tongue then winking playfully. Soon his question was

answered when they rounded a corner and entered a courtyard. it was larger then Dieter could ever emagine. The First thing he noticed were the rose vines. The walls were covered in them. Patches of Black, blue and white. They grew up the walls and hung from wall to wall, wall to floor like streamers at a child’s birthday party. Chetyre stopped the group in the center of the Courtyard and turned to face Dieter. He spoke calmly and softly “young Dieter we a circle. A circle of communist, of Capitalist, Men, women. We have nothing in commo
n except for a hatred for the Theocracy that DESTROYED OUR HOMELAND.” Dieter began to feel alive and never ending. He listened intently to Chetyre. “You have shown a true interest in our cause. Our circle is opening for you, our secrets, our agenda will be apart of you… Would you like to restore Russia?” Dieter stood there silent for a moment trying to speech. “Ye… yes. Yes I do.” “Good.” Chetyre’s voice was almost a whisper as he pulled a knife out of his robe. “As the revolutionaries before have done you must spill your blood. Give me your hand young Dieter”
